Telugu film industry is famous for periodical, mythological, devotional and experimental movies. It is also known for its originality in scripts, rich costumes and properties used in the movies. Tollywood is one such industry which releases the films based on audience priorities.

Since the movie era started, there has been changes in trends of movies. But Tollywood is one industry, which has made periodical films throughout. Every year atleast one or two movies release with a mythological or historical concept. And the actors who have played romantic or action roles have never shied away from periodical roles also. In fact, many such roles have been benchmarks in these actors' careers.

Forget about actors. Actresses are also not behind in essaying periodical roles. One such bold actress in the industry is Anushka Shetty, who has acted in the title role in the movie Arundhati.
