Puri Jagannadh's latest directorial venture Heart Attack, which released in theatres on January 31, has got a fantastic opening across the globe. The Nitin and Adah Sharma starrer has done good collection at the Box Office in the first weekend and topped the business chart, pushing down Manchu family's multi-starrer Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda.
Having hit a record number of screens, Heart Attack registered an average of 65% to 75% occupancy in both single screens and multiplexes on its opening day. In a few places, single screens were running to packed houses. The elated Puri Jagannadh said, "The movie has got tremendous openings be it advance bookings, returning crowds, great footfall everywhere. Even in the overseas it is getting a great response."
Heart Attack witnessed a jump in its business on Saturday and Sunday. The makers of the movie have not revealed its collection details. The reports suggest that the film has raked in approximately Rs 7.85 crores nett at the worldwide Box Office in its opening weekend. The breakup of its three-day collection is Rs 2.25 cr on Fri, Rs 2.65 cr on Sat and Rs 2.95 on Sun.
Made on a medium budget of Rs 14 crores, Heart Attack has fetched Rs 21 crores from the sale of its satellite and distribution rights before its release. The movie has received positive reviews and response from film critics and viewers. Now, the makers are sure that it will get them a decent amount of profit from its theatrical run.
