Allu Sirish and Regina Cassandra starrer Telugu movie Kotha Janta has received a decent response in the international markets. The Maruthi-directed romance drama with high entertainment quotient has done good collection at the USA Box Office in the four-day-extended first weekend and beaten Nayantara and director Sekhar Kammula's first combo movie Anamika, which is the remake of Vidya Balan starrer hit Hindi movie Kahaani.
Kotha Janta and Anamika are among the most-talked about and highly-anticipated Telugu movies of 2014. The Allu Sirish and Regina Cassandra starrer released in 32 cinema halls in America on May 1 on the International Workers' Day. Whereas, the Nayantara starrer hit 50 screens in the country on the same day. But the former has done good amount of business in less number than the latter.
In its opening weekend, Kotha Janta has collected Rs 16.31 lakhs ($ 27,082) from 32 at the USA Box Office. With its per-screen average $ 846.31, the movie has landed in the 54th place in the USA collection chart. Whereas, Anamika has raked in Rs 9.33 lakhs ($ 15,497) from 50 screens at the USA Box Office in the first weekend. With its per-screen average - $ 312.84, the movie has graced 62nd position in the chart.
