Legend 4 Days Collection At Box Office: Balakrishna Storms
Director Boyapati Srinu's action-drama Legend has received an earth-shattering response at the worldwide Box Office over the weekend. Clearing the Monday test, the Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer has continued to rock the viewers even on the weekdays. Its collection is much better than that of Superstar Mahesh Babu's 1: Nenokkadine, which was released during Sankranti festival early this year.
Released in 1,000+ screens on March 28, Legend opened to an overwhelming response and collected superb numbers at the Box Office on first day. Despite having a strong positive word of mouth, its business went down on Saturday. Trade experts had predicted that its collection would be affected by Municipal Elections on Sunday. As expected, it was affected, but not up to the expected level.
Legend also did well at the Box Office on Monday, Ugadi holiday. The film has collected Rs 19.15 crores at the Andhra Pradesh Box Office in four days. Its breakup is Rs 6.90 cr on Fri, Rs 3.75 cr on Sat, Rs 4.35 cr on Sun and Rs 4.15 cr on Mon. The film has collected Rs 2.65 crores at the ticket counters in Karnataka and other parts of India.
Released in 60+ screens in America on March 27, Legend has received fantastic response from viewers and collected Rs 2.15 crores nett ($357,829) at the USA Box Office in four-day-extended weekend. It has become the biggest opener and highest grosser for Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu in the country. The film has collected a total of Rs 23.85 crores at the worldwide Box Office in four days.

Oneindia - Rating: 3.5
Director Boyapati Srinu has made Legend in a typical Balakrishna's style. The movie has good performances, sound technical elements, interesting screenplay and punch dialogues. It is good masala entertainer and a grand Ugadi treat for Nandamuri fans.

There's a surfeit of blood, action sequences and deafening punch dialogues. Simply put its Simha remade with bad music. How much you will enjoy it will be directly proportional to your love for Balayya.
The Hindu – Review
The drama ends only after Balakrishna sheds some light on the idea of a good leader and democracy (some of these dialogues are just about audible in the Balayya zindabad; Jai jai Balayya cheers of the fans in the hall) and is ultimately shown like a Narasimha avatar.

First half of the film is okay. Interval bang is good. Second half has powerful moments and emotionally charged scenes. Plus points of the film are Balakrishna's ferocious performance (as Jai Dev) and powerful dialogues written by M Ratnam. On the flip side, there is a lot of bloodshed. On a whole, Legend is a feast for fans and will be liked by masses.

A film that falters in first half and picks up from the interval bang. All in all, it is Balayya's one-man mighty show. Barring a few lacunae, it should be a hit with the mass audience.

Balakrishna fans will watch this film numerous times as it is undoubtedly the best from Nata Simha post Simha. Boyapati Srinu lived up to the expectations and delivered a full on masala film that will work wonders at the box office especially in mass dominated areas. There is good sentimental touch to the film which will appeal to classes and families. Excessive violence is the weak point of this film and it may restrict the reach. Saying that all the biggest hits from Balakrishna had excessive violence and therefore it shouldn't be a big problem for Legend.
