The
release
of
filmmaker
Ram
Gopal
Varma's
much-awaited
Telugu
movie
Rowdy
has
been
delayed
by
a
week.
The
movie
starring
Mohan
Babu
and
his
son
Manchu
Vishnu
in
the
lead
roles
was
earlier
scheduled
to
release
on
March
28,
but
now
the
makers
of
the
film
have
postponed
it
to
April
4.
The
production
house
AV
Pictures,
which
is
producing
the
movie,
has
released
a
statement
to
press
confirming
the
new
release
of
Rowdy.
The
statement
read,
"Rowdy
will
open
in
several
multiplex
and
single
theatres
this
summer
on
April
4."
Vishnu
Manchu
says
that
he
is
very
confident
about
the
film
Rowdy.
The
actor
says,
"I
have
enjoyed
doing
this
film
thoroughly.
It
has
incredible
energy
and
is
exciting.
I
don't
think
it
will
disappoint
the
audience
from
what
they
have
been
hearing
about
this
film.
In
fact,
we
expect
that
it
will
only
raise
the
opinion
about
this
film."
Rowdy
is
set
against
the
backdrop
of
Rayalaseema.
It
is
believed
to
be
loosely
based
on
Ram
Gopal
Varma's
Sarkar.
The
film,
which
also
features
Jayasudha
and
Shanvi
Srivastav
in
important
roles,
is
produced
by
R
Vijay
Kumar,
Gajendra
Naidu
and
Parthasarathi
Naidu
under
the
banners
of
24
Frames
Factory
and
AV
Pictures.
It
has
Sai
Karthik's
music
and
Satish
Muthyala's
cinematography.
