Mohan Babu-RGV's Rowdy Release Postponed

The release of filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma's much-awaited Telugu movie Rowdy has been delayed by a week. The movie starring Mohan Babu and his son Manchu Vishnu in the lead roles was earlier scheduled to release on March 28, but now the makers of the film have postponed it to April 4.

The production house AV Pictures, which is producing the movie, has released a statement to press confirming the new release of Rowdy. The statement read, "Rowdy will open in several multiplex and single theatres this summer on April 4."

Vishnu Manchu says that he is very confident about the film Rowdy. The actor says, "I have enjoyed doing this film thoroughly. It has incredible energy and is exciting. I don't think it will disappoint the audience from what they have been hearing about this film. In fact, we expect that it will only raise the opinion about this film."

Rowdy is set against the backdrop of Rayalaseema. It is believed to be loosely based on Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar. The film, which also features Jayasudha and Shanvi Srivastav in important roles, is produced by R Vijay Kumar, Gajendra Naidu and Parthasarathi Naidu under the banners of 24 Frames Factory and AV Pictures. It has Sai Karthik's music and Satish Muthyala's cinematography.
