Junior
NTR's
latest
outing
Rabhasa,
which
released
in
theatres
across
the
globe
on
August
29,
has
garnered
an
earth-shattering
response
all
over
the
world
on
the
eve
of
Ganesh
Chathurthi
festival.
Having
made
fantastic
collection
at
the
Box
Office
on
the
first
day,
the
Bellamkonda
Suresh-produced
movie
has
turned
out
to
be
the
biggest
opener
of
2014,
the
second
biggest
opener
for
NTR
and
third
all
time
biggest
opener.
Rabhasa
is
one
of
the
highly-anticipated
and
most
hyped
Telugu
movies
of
the
year.
The
film
has
been
creating
positive
buzz
ever
since
director
Santosh
Srinivas
announced
it.
Though
its
makers
have
had
enough
amount
of
publicity
for
it,
its
promos
have
created
lot
curiosity
for
it.
In
addition,
the
movie
has
registered
huge
amount
of
advance
ticket
booking.
So
trade
experts
predicted
it
to
start
with
a
bang.
Considering
the
viewers'
curiosity
for
Rabhasa,
the
makers
started
the
screening
of
the
film
as
early
as
from
4
am
on
Friday
in
many
centres
in
Telangana,
Andhra
Pradesh,
Karnataka
and
Tamil
Nadu.
NTR
mania
was
seemed
to
be
at
it
peaks
with
the
theatres
witnessing
unprecedented
crowd
outside
as
well
as
inside
the
theatres
in
the
early
morning.
The
movie
ran
to
packed
houses
everywhere
down
South.
Rabhasa
witnessed
same
amount
crowd
in
all
matinee,
afternoon,
evening
and
night
shows.
Released
in
more
than
800
screens,
the
movie
has
collected
Rs
8.85
crores
at
the
Telangana
and
AP
Box
Office
on
the
first
day.
Its
area-wise
breakup
is
Rs
2.55
cr
in
Nizam,
Rs
1.90

In
Ceeded,
Rs
1.19

Rs

lakhs
in

in

and
Rs

The
Junior
NTR,
Samantha
and
Pranitha
starrer
has
released
in
125
screens
in
Karnataka,
60+
screens
in
Tamil
Nadu,
90+
screens
in
Mumbai
and
other
parts
of
North
India,
95+
screens
in
the
USA
and
55+
screens
other
international
markets.
The
makers
of
Rabhasa
are
yet
to
reveal
the
numbers
of
all
these
centres.
Trade
experts
feel
that
its
total
collection
on
its
opening
day
is
likely
to
be
Rs
12.55
crores.
Trade
experts
predicted
that
Rabhasa
would
witness
downfall
in
its
collection
on
Saturday
as
it
is
a
working
day.
As
predicted,
the
movie
did
drop,
but
not
up
to
that
extent.
The
movie
has
made
a
decent
business.
On
its
second
day,
it
has
collected
approximately
Rs
6.5
crore
at
the
Box
Office,
taking
its
AP
collection
to
Rs
15.35
croress.
Rabhasa
has
got
mixed
reviews
and
decent
ratings
from
the
film
critics.

bring
you
some
critics

to

them

Overall,
Rabhasa
may
not
have
good
story,
but
it
promises
to
entertain
you
sound
production
values
and
wonderful
performances
by
actors.
It
is
a
good
action
comedy
entertainer.
It
will
be
a
grand
treat
for
the
fans
of
Junior
NTR
and
Brahmanandam.

First
half
of
the
film
is
a
little
disappointing.
Second
half
is
better.
A
few
of
Brahmanandam's
scenes
are
handled
well.
Plus
points
of
the
film
are
NTR's
performance
and
a
few
of
Brahmi's
episodes
in
2nd
half.
The
minus
point
of
the
film
is
lack
of
freshness
and
a
complicated
screenplay.
This
film
is
made
with
mass
orientation
and
the
success
will
depend
on
how
masses
take
it!

The
absence
of
the
mandatory
NTR
reference
is
perhaps
the
most
original
part
of
this
otherwise
unremarkable
film
that
dishes
out
every
known
cliche
in
lexicon
of
big
ticket
Tollywood
entertainers.

Snatches
of
this
or
that
story
aside,
'Rabhasa'
is
more
'rabhasa'
and
no
good
'rasa'.

Rabhasa
is
the
one
man
show
of
NTR
well
complimented
with
some
excellent
comedy
from
Brahmanandham.
Like
most
films
these
days,
the
film
is
less
on
substance
more
on
comedy.
But
some
how
Telugu
audience
have
developed
high
tolerance
levels
to
such
films.
So
Rabhasa
is
expected
to
work
out
well
at
the
box
office.

First
half
of
the
film
is
utterly
boring
with
uninteresting
college
episodes
and
poor
songs.
Second
half
also
moves
on
a
predictable
note
as
the
director
shifts
into
Kandireega
mode.
Nothing
looks
bright
until
Brahmanandam
enters
the
scene.
Comedy
in
a
couple
of
scenes
is
good
and
has
saved
this
film
from
ending
up
as
a
dud.
Brahmi
and
NTR
shouldered
the
film
and
carried
it
to
the
climax.

On
the
whole,
Rabhasa
is
definitely
not
the
blockbuster
hit
that
NTR
was
desperately
looking
for.
But
some
entertaining
comedy
and
NTR's
one
man
show,
will
surely
make
the
general
audience
lap
up
this
average
entertainer
during
this
festive
season.

Everyone
expected
a
good
Vinayaka
Chavithi
feast
from
NTR.
He
almost
served
all
the
items
but
in
very
limited
quantity.
For
those
who
expect
a
big
bang
from
NTR
may
be
disappointed.
For
those
who
are
satisfied
with
a
masala
movie
and
a
festive
outing,
Rabhasa
would
be
just
OK.

The
trend
of
mixing
action
with
entertainment
and
sentiment
has
picked
up
strongly
and
this
is
one
such
example.
The
first
half
goes
around
with
elements
of
action,
comedy
and
some
romance.
The
interval
bang
was
promising.
The
second
half
was
more
on
the
emotional
front
but
good
comedy
was
there.
The
climax
fight
was
nice.
Overall,
this
is
a
film
which
appeals
to
the
commercial
audience
and
fans
of
NTR.
At
the
box
office,
this
can
be
a
decent
grosser.

There
are
3
good
things
to
talk
about
Rabhasa.
First
one
is
about
the
Young
Tiger
who
did
everything
to
entertain
audience.
NTR's
charismatic
presence
has
covered
lot
of
loopholes
in
the
script
he
pulled
off
the
character
of
Karthik
with
ease.Brahmanandam
has
become
a
pivotal
artist
in
the
star
hero's
films
these
days
and
he
is
the
saving
grace
in
the
second
half.
