When Pawan Kalyan's Words Irked Chiranjeevi

Telugu actor Chiranjeevi has hit back at his brother Pawan Kalyan, who condemned the Congress' decision to divide Andhra Pradesh. During the launch of his new political party - Jana Sena at an event in HITEX, Madhapur, Hyderabad on Friday (March 14), the Power Star had vowed to clear the party in the state. The Megastar-turned-politician says that his party is not responsible for splitting the state and nobody can shake this 127-year-old party.

Amid thunderous cheers by his fans, Pawan Kalyan had vowed to do politics of principle and to bring a change in the society. In a speech punched with powerful dialogues in a filmi style, he had said that he was ready to sacrifice his life to achieve his objective to end injustice, inequality and corruption. The actor had said that he was pained over the manner in which all parties joined hands to divide Andhra Pradesh.

Pawan Kalyan, who seemed to have set out to erase Congress party in the state, had condemned the party for splitting Andhra Pradesh for its selfish politics. He had also taken a dig at a few leaders of the party for their corruption. The Power Star had concluded his emotionally charged speech with the statement, "I am giving a call to the entire nation, 'Congress hattao, Desh Bachaoo'."

In reply to Pawan Kalyan's criticism against the Congress party, Chiranjeevi is sensitive and emotional. The Union Minister said, "All parties are responsible for this split. Congress was only the last party to take the decision." He added, "It (Congress) has survived criticism. No one can finish that party."

Meanwhile, many Tollywood stars, who are impressed with Pawan Kalyan's speech, have requested their fans to support Pawan Kalyan and join his Jana Sena Party. After hearing his speech, Ram Gopal Varma tweeted, "I know Worlds divided b4 Christ and aftr christ nd nw I have no doubt that telugu PEOPLE HISTORY will be divided b4 KALYAN nd aftr KALYAN I luvd the dress the look the demeanour nd the clarity of Pawan Kalyan. I expected him to have a focused intensity on issues but what I dint expect is the compassion As a common man for me compared to the honesty and integrity Pawan has all the other politicos look like....."
