Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu is one of the biggest fashion icons in South India and he has already been a brand ambassador for several commercial brands. Now, he has been roped in to promote the footwear brand Paragon down South. The actor, who is set to promote his upcoming movie Aagadu, attended a press conference of the brand and gushed that he is excited to be part of its legacy.

The bosses of Paragon held a press conference to launch its new product in Hyderabad on September 9. Mahesh Babu launched the product on the occasion and said, "Paragon has always been a trendsetter and I am proud to be part of a legacy brand that is dedicated to the pursuit of class and quality." Later, he took to his Twitter page and wrote, "Happy to be a part of the @paragonfootwear family..:)"

Paragon is one of the leading footwear brands in India and it closed last financial year with a turnover of Rs 1,400 crore. The bosses of the brand are looking at the next phase of growth. Addressing the press meet, Joseph Zachariah, Director, Marketing of Paragon Group, said, "We expect to sell 14 crore pairs this fiscal from 12 crore pairs we sold last year and hope to achieve Rs. 1,600 crore turnover mark during 2014-15."
