Director Surender Reddy's latest venture Race Gurram has concluded the first week with fantastic collection at the global Box Office. The movie has become the highest grosser movie in the opening week for Bunny. The Allu Arjun and Shruti Hassan starrer has also turned out to be the sixth all time highest grosser in worldwide and eighth all time biggest collection in the state in the first week.
Prior its release, the posters, music and trailer of Race Gurram had soared up viewers' curiosity and expectations to the sky high. In addition, the movie had huge amount of advance ticket booking. The screening of the film, which released in 1000+ screens across the globe on April 11, started quite early in the morning on Friday. The movie received positive response from both film critics and audience.
The word of mouth took its business upwards on the following days. Race Gurram has collected Rs 34.10 crores nett at the worldwide Box Office in the first week. Its area-wise breakup is Rs 8.40 cr in Nizam, Rs 4.57 cr in Ceeded, Rs 2.52 cr in Vizag, Rs 1.49 cr in Godavari East, Rs 1.32 cr in West, Rs 1.45 cr in Krishna, Rs 2.25 cr in Guntur, Rs 1.10 cr in Nellore, Rs 3.25 cr in Karnataka, Rs 1 cr in other parts of India and Rs 6.75 crore in the USA.
Race Gurram is fast heading to achieve Rs 50 crore mark in the second week. However, Laddu Babu, Avatharam, Prathighatana and Prabhanjanam have released in theatres this Friday. The Allu Arjun and Shruti Hassan starrer has lost out a few screens to new releases. It should be seen whether its collection will be affected them in its second week or not.
