Director Surender Reddy's much-hyped Telugu movie Race Gurram starring Allu Arjun and Shruti Hassan in the leads, has garnered mixed reviews and rich ratings. Most of the film critics have noticed lot of positive aspect in the film to appreciate the team work and praise them. The Hindu - Review
Allu Arjun as the good-for-nothing Lucky is very good. He carries off both comic and action sequences with élan. Shaam as the arrogant elder brother Ram delivers a good performance while Brahmanandam steals the show as frustrated police officer Killbill Pandey in the second half.

The first half of the movie is average and except for the Brahmi's track, every thing is crap in the second half. But the comedy is too good that it can be a game changer for the movie's fate. Given no stiff competition, the movie is expected to rake good amounts at the box office.

The cinematography by Manoj is good while Thaman has given brilliant Background. Yet the mix goes wrong which mars the show. On the whole, Race Gurram is a formula flick high on prediction. Do Allu Arjun has that kind of image which can turn a flop content into hit? I don't think so.

Movie lovers may not be pleased with this pop corn entertainment and the film that doesn't take itself seriously. Penultimate scenes looks like they are straight out of some parody film ala Hrudaya Kaleyam.
