Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma's much-talked about Telugu movie Anukshanam starring Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, is scheduled to release in theatres across the globe on September 12. The makers say that the film has a universal appeal and it will be dubbed in Malayalam as Killer and it will release on the same day in theatres in Kerala.
In a statement, the makers say, "Ram Gopal Varma's edge-of-the-seat thriller Anukshanam will have a simultaneous worldwide release in Telugu and Malayalam on Sep 12. The story of Killer has a universal appeal and the character played by Vishnu Manchu will stick to your mind because of the way he goes after his victims, with his too-cool-for-school look combined with his intense reaction to scenes in the film."
Anukshanam is about a serial sex killer who sends a wave of panic across Hyderabad. This movie is inspired by real life incidents. Actor Vishnu Manchu is playing a police officer in his late 30s in pursuit of the psycho killer in the movie, which also features Revathy, Navdeep, Madhu Shalini, Tejaswi Madivada, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Brahmanandam in important roles.
Having cleared the formalities, Anukshanam has got 'A' certificate from the Regional Censor Board. Ram Gopal Varma has started a new distribution system with this film by auctioning it through website. He has got wonderful response for the bidding. The promos of the film have garnered lot of curiosity for the film.
