Shruti Hassan Croons Dubstep Song For Race Gurram

Actress Shruti Hassan is known for her singing prowess and she has crooned several songs before making her acting debut with action drama Luck in 2009. The daughter of Legendary actor Kamal Hassan, who is currently busy shooting for Allu Arjun's Race Gurram, has crooned a dubstep number in this upcoming Telugu action thriller. She says that the entire team worked hard on the song.

Shruti Hassan has rendered her voice for he song is titled 'Down Down Duppa'. SS Thaman has composed music for this track. The excited actress took to her Twitter page to share the news about the song. She tweeted, "What an awesome shoot for Down Down Duppa! (I) hope you love the song. we have all worked so hard on it."

Meanwhile, Surendar Reddy, who is directing Race Gurram, also confirmed the news. The director told IANS, "I don't interfere in the music department much. It was Thaman's idea to make Shruti sing as he felt her voice would be apt. The song has come out very well and its catchy tune will keep the audience on their feet."

Shruti Hassan has crooned several chartbusters in Telugu films such as Oh My Friend and Eenadu. who is also playing the lead in the film. Race Gurram, which is nearing completion, also features Allu Arjun, Saloni Aswani and Ravi Kishan in important roles. It is getting ready for a summer release.
