The wonderful chemistry between veteran singer-cum-actor SP Balasubrahmanyam and actress Lakshmi in Telugu movie Mithunam has impressed audiences as well as critics. Now this hit senior duo are teaming up again. They will be seen together in upcoming Tamil film Moondre Moondru Vaarthai, which is being directed by Madhumita, who has all praise for the couple.
Talking to IANS, the director confirmed the news about casting SP Balasubrahmanyam and Lakshmi for Moondre Moondru Vaarthai. She said, "I was moved by their performance in Mithunam. They were so naturally good in their roles that it prompted me to have them in my film. They play the hero's grandparents and have good scenes together."
Moondre Moondru Vaarthai is being produced by Balasubrahmanyam's son SP Charan under his home banner Capital Film Works. The film features debutant Arjun Chidambaram in the lead alongside Aditi Chengappa and Venkatesh Harinathan. The makers are yet to reveal the details about other cast and crew and its shooting.
