Telugu actor Nikhil Siddhartha, who hasn't had a release since last year's Telugu blockbuster Swamy Ra Ra, says the film made him an established actor and it changed his priorities as an actor. The young actor is currently awaiting the release of his bilingual movie Karthikeya, which is simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil.
Talking to IANS, Nikhil Siddhartha said, "Before Swamy Ra Ra, I
only had two hits and it was difficult to get established as an
actor. All that changed after the film's release. The subjects that
I'm getting after that film are far better. I'm also being
approached by big banners and popular directors."
Nikhil Siddhartha says that he was not bothered about spending
one year on his upcoming movie. The actor added, "It was because of
the success of Swamy Ra Ra, I didn't mind spending over a
year for my next release. Thanks to the success of that film, now I
have several choices to choose from."
Written and directed by Sudhir Varma, Swamy Ra Ra is all about how a petty thief is chased by the goons when stolen idol worth $ 100 million falls in his hands. The movie has been one of the super-hit Telugu movies of 2013. Following its huge success, the makes have planned to do sequel to Swamy Ra Ra, which is likely to go on the floors sans Nikhil. The film is also being currently remade in Tamil.
