Telugu Remake Rights Of Kangna Ranaut's Queen Sold

Bollywood actress Kangna Ranaut's recent release Queen has been one of the big critical and commercial successes in the year 2014. Following its success at the Box Office, there has been a huge demand for its remake rights in various languages. Now, the movie is being remade in Telugu. Vikas Bahl, who has directed the film, himself has confirmed that the remake rights of the film have been sold.

"There's a Rani in every corner of the world which is why this story found takers everywhere. For some strange reason, a lot of people at Busan film festival asked us if it was a Korean film. That's when it struck us that it's a universal story. And so, when a couple of producers approached us, we gave the remakes a go-ahead," TOI quotes director Vikas Bahl as saying.

Queen is about a girl from a Delhi traditional family, who sets out on a solo honeymoon after her marriage gets canceled. Director Vikas Bahl, who has also written the story, has not revealed the name of the producer, who has bought the rights of the Telugu remake of Queen. The cast and crew are yet to be finalised. Now, many Tollywood are eagerly waiting to know about the actress, who would reprise Kangna Ranaut's role in the Telugu version.
