Victory Venkatesh's upcoming Telugu film Drushyam, which is a remake of Mohanlal's Blockbuster Malayalam movie Drishyam, has completed its shooting and is currently in post-production phase. The makers of the movie, which was initially slated hit to the screens, are planning to release it in July.
In a statement released to the media, The production house has confirmed its plan for the release of Drushyam. The statement reads, "The film is currently in post-production stage and is likely to release in July. It has been shot in places such as Araku valley, Vizianagaram, Hyderabad and Kerala."
The story of Drishyam is about a husband, who takes desperate measures to save his wife and daughter from the dark side of the law, after they commit an unexpected crime. Venkatesh reprises the role of Mohanlal in its Telugu remake Drushyam, while actress Meena, who was seen in the original, will step into the shoes of the same character.
Drushyam has been directed by actress-turned-filmmaker Sripriya Rajkumar and jointly produced by D Suresh Babu and Rajkumar Sethupathi under the banner of Suresh Productions. Nadhiya, Naresh, Kalabhavan Shajon, Chaitanya Krishna, Baby Esther and Kritika are in the supporting cast of the film, which will have Sharreth's music and S Gopal Reddy's cinematography.
