Daggubati
Venkatesh's
Drushyam,
which
is
a
Telugu
remake
of
recent
Malayalam
Blockbuster
Drishyam,
is
currently
being
shot
in
Idukki
district
of
Kerala,
where
most
of
the
original
movie
was
shot.
According
to
the
production
team,
maximum
portion
of
the
movie
will
be
shot
in
Kerala
and
few
sequence
will
be
canned
in
outside
the
state.
The
shooting
of
Drushyam
commenced
in
the
locales
of
Kerala
from
March
8,
2014.
In
a
press
statement,
the
spokesperson
of
the
movie
says,
"Most
of
the
film
will
be
shot
in
Kerala,
similar
to
locations
from
the
original.
Only
for
few
scenes,
the
unit
will
shoot
in
other
places
outside
the
state.
The
first
schedule
of
the
film
will
be
wrapped
up
soon."
Drushyam
is
being
directed
by
Sripriya
and
produced
by
Suresh
Babu
under
the
banner
of
Suresh
Productions.
While
Venkatesh
reprises
the
role
played
by
Mohanlal
in
the
original,
the
movie
features
Meena,
Nadhiya
and
Esther
in
important
roles.
Drishyam
is
about
a
man's
effort
to
cover
up
a
murder
committed
by
his
family
and
the
film
featured
superstar
Mohanlal
in
the
lead
role.
Following
the
huge
success
of
the
film,
it
is
also
being
remade
in
Tamil
and
Kannada.
While
Kamal
Hassan
will
play
the
lead
in
the
Tamil
version,
veteran
actor
Ravichandran
will
be
seen
in
the
lead
role
in
Kannada.
