Famous writer Satyamurthy (61), who also happens to be the father of music director Devi Sri Prasad, breathed his last in Chennai, early today. Satyamurthy worked for nearly 90 films and is known for penning blockbuster films like Devatha, Khaidi No.786, Abhilasha, Pedarayudu etc.
While it is ofourse a huge loss to DSP's family, entire industry too is mourning the death of Satyamurthy, with great grief. He started off his journey in the industry as a lyricist and has struggled during his initial days with absolute no support, until he got a big break as a story writer for the Super hit film, Devatha, under Suresh Productions.
He is also known for delivering many 'career turning' hit stories for Megastar Chiranjeevi. Entire South Indian industry woke up to the sad news of the writer's demise today and few also took to twitter to convey their condolences to DSP and his family.
Satyamurthy also worked as a school teacher in early days of his career to meet the ends. It is surely another unexpected blow to the industry. Strength to the family.
