Going by the industry grapevine, directors are scared to approach Ram Charan and Akhil Akkineni with an interesting script. Though almost all the industry people keep up a close bond with these star scions, directors are said to be maintaining a distance when it comes to work.
In fact Ram Charan always makes sure to appreciate any new attempt from the directors and he takes no ego in heaping a praise for the honest film-making. However, when its his own case, he is often bashed for opting outdated scripts.
When asked about his poor taste of story selections, he always says that he chose the best from what comes to him. Does that mean directors with good scripts are not approaching Charan? The answer we hear from industry insiders is a 'yes'. They also have an explanation behind their fear of approaching Charan.
It is known that Charan carries huge fan base in the masses along with the gifted craze of 'mega' and all the scripts that goes to him must get a nod from Chiru, which is a tedious task. It has become a general notion in the industry that it is a wayward job to impress the Megstar, especially if it's for Charan.
The script must have all the ingredients and any experimental subject might need a lot changes. Call it 'love for their own thoughts' or fear of Chiranjeevi, top directors are keeping Ram Charan aside from a while. The same scenario can be observed with Akhil Akkineni oflate. Though Nagarjuna is always for experiments, he is said to be getting little stereotyped when it comes to Akhil.
No wonder the actor is still looking out for a director for his second project. "While current top directors like Rajamouli, Koratala Siva, Trivikram, Sukumar and Boyapati are all busy with other star heroes, Akhil and Ram Charan are finding it difficult to find a striking script from a promising director, just because of their protective fathers," says the little birdies from the film circles.
