Talking in a recent interview, Kona Venkat has finally confirmed that he is not in good terms with Sreenu Vaitla anymore. After the debacle of Bruce Lee, things seems to have gone for a toss between the writer-director duo.
When quizzed about his relationship with Sreenu Vaitla right now, "It's in coma right now. I can't say whether it will come alive or dead. But it's in doldrums," the writer revealed.
"Bruce Lee turned out an average fare. We can't blame anything except fame. But Sreenu Vaitla garu haven't taken the total scenes I've written. Maybe he didn't like it. As a director, his call is final," he further added.
It is known fact that a report which appeared on a leading daily said, Kona Venkat is gearing up to file a 10 crore defamation suit on director Sreenu Vaitla for crediting him wrong in the movie Bruce Lee and it took no time for the news to go viral.
"He is angry about the makers crediting his name to the story of Bruce Lee. His original script was completely changed. He is filing the case as they have given his name in the credits but haven't used his story. He may file a defamation case for Rs 10 crore and demand a public apology from Sreenu," informed a source as quoted by a famous daily.
"He also wants to upload the original script online. Because he wants the public and fans to know the differences between the original script and the film's story," the source further added.
Looks like the bad phase is getting much murkier on Sreenu Vaitla. It can be recalled that last week, his wife filed a harassment case on him and now a clash with his friend Kona Venkat, with two back to back box office disasters daunting him.
When asked why industry is crazy about him, "No, they are not running after Kona Venkat. They are running for the kind of success Kona is giving. If Kona is not giving them success, then he's gone. This industry is quite rude and crude." Kona opined.
Coincidentally, Kona earlier got in to a fight with Sreenu Vaitla for not crediting him enough in the film Badshah and now going to sue him for crediting him for the story he hasn't written.
When asked why he is not becoming a director yet, "If I become director, I may make one movie a year. But as I've decided to stay writer, now I could work on 5-7 films a year. I could make more money becoming director, rather staying as a writer. Still, I want to stay with industry.", her quipped.
Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan teamed up with Sreenu Vaitla for Bruce Lee after their infamous rift during Badshah, with the intervention of Ram Charan. The actor was showered praises for bring them back. Looks like the much appreciated reunion has now turned in to a headache for the team.
The trio did not work together for Sreenu Vaitla's previous release Aagadu and writers were in news for celebrating the film's failure. Now, Gopi Mohan also stands by Kona and has abandoned Sreenu Vaitla.
