Director
Chandoo
Mondeti
has
rubbished
rumors
that
Nithya
Menen
has
been
roped
in
as
one
of
the
leading
ladies
in
Telugu
romantic-drama
Majnu,
a
remake
of
Malayalam
blockbuster
Premam.
"Not
sure
where
these
rumors
come
from.
We
haven't
even
approached
Nithya
for
the
role," said
Mondeti.
Starring
Naga
Chaitanya,
Majnu
will
feature
Shruti
Haasan
and
Anupama
Parameswaran
in
the
lead
roles.
Apparently,
the
other
consideration
is
reportedly
Rakul
Preet
Singh
for
an
another
female
lead
in
the
films.
To
be
produced
by
S.
Radha
Krishna,
the
film
is
set
to
go
on
the
floors
soon.
Premam,
which
emerged
as
one
of
the
highest
grossing
Malayalam
films
ever,
is
the
coming
of
age
tale
of
its
protagonist
at
different
stages
of
his
life.
Majnu
is
expected
to
do
wonder
for
Naga
Chaitanya
like
Ye
Maaya
Chesave
and
100%
Love
did
for
the
actor,
since
it
is
a
genre
of
his
potential.
