Income Tax department has started sudden raids on the houses of actresses living in Chennai early today, which is shaking the film circles right now. Samantha, Shruti Haasan, Hansika and Nayantara are some of the names flashing in the news.
The IT raids seems to be targeted towards the names associated with the big films that are slated to release this season.
As the much awaited release of the season, Puli is just a day away, the entire team of the film has been facing the sudden IT raids in Chennai, including hero Vijay.
According to the reports, director Shankar, who has recently announced Robo 2 is also among the list and the raids are going on at his house as well as his office.
Some other big productions houses, producers and directors' houses are being raided by the IT department simultaneously at around 32 places.
The common point among all the celebrities facing the IT raids seems to be the big budgeted films. These raids appears to have mainly targeted towards the producers, directors and actors who are associated with high budgeted films that are being made in south.
