Piracy has become the biggest curse for filmmakers and the lack of technology to avoid it, is giving nightmares to the producers. By now it is a common knowledge that Gunasekhar has spent all his earnings to make Rudramadevi and released it last Friday with great difficulty.
But piracy malediction has been troubling the director cum
producer more, as it is grabbing a bigger piece of revenue to its
side. Thankfully, cyber crime police of Hyderabad reacted very
quick on the issue and busted the gang behind the piracy of the
film, within no time.
Apparently, shocking facts has been revealed in the process and
the piracy doers are normal students, who are pursuing engineering
and MBA. Three students residing at R C Puram, Hyderabad has
started this business for pocket money and is earning a handsome
amount through ads.
They purchased two websites and uploaded pirated films, which
they downloaded from another website called movierulz.in, to get
advertisements and they reportedly made about $1700 on
Rudramadevi till now.
Crime Additional ACP revealed the names of criminals in a media
Neelima Guna daughter of Gunasekhar and co producer of the film
posted the details of culprits on Twitter.
Neelima called it a shameless act.
On the other hand, Rudramadevi collected a total share of 22.71
Cr in AP and TS alone after its 4th day.
Though it had a decent Monday, the collections reportedly have
dropped drastically on Tuesday, despite Dusshera holidays in Telugu
