Though reports indicated that ParineetiChopra is under consideration for the role, it is actually Shraddha Kapoor, who was approached by Koratala Siva. However, the makers decided to shelve the plans of roping in a Bollywood babe as their demands were too high.
Shraddha reportedly asked for 3.5Cr, which is a very high pay for leading ladiesin Telugu. The last time we heard such huge number in South was when Nayantara was given 3 Crores for her film with Vikram in Tamil, after scoring three back to back hits.
Though Anushka has receivedsomething similar recently in Telugu, she was the main protagonist in those films. Even after several negotiations, the Bollywood actress couldn't cut down on her fees and hence missed herTelugu début.
On the other hand, the latest reports tell that Samantha and Shruti Haasan are under consideration this time. If things go as per the plans, the film, which is tentatively titled as Janatha Garage, will go on sets from February, soon after the release of NTR's Nannaku Prematho.
Koratala Siva is now busy chalking out the final script while the makers are totally vesting their time on finalizing the heroine.
