TV Actress Roopa Attempts Suicide

A television actress, who reportedly came to Hussain Sagar to end her life, was rescued by Lake police, Hyderabad. She was identified as none other than the TV actress Roopa alias Harpeet Kaur, who has appeared in many super hit television soaps like Chandramukhi, Shikaram, Auto Bharati etc.

Apparently, the actress was in a live-in relation ship with Keval Singh, who reportedly cheated on her. "Roopa told us that Keval asked her to stop working in serials and promised to marry her. However, Keval backed out later," Inspector Lake Police K. Sreedevi said.

The duo were staying in a flat in Uppal from two long years and the actress said to have believed Keval's false promises and has even quit her acting career to get married to him.

Keval Singh is reportedly a bank employee and he had hassled her on many issues, unable to take pain the actress said to have decided to end her life. Lake police found her weeping near Hussain Sagar, who is trying to commit suicide.

After initial stage of enquriy, the police called the family members of the actress and sent them to Petbasheerabad police station after counselling.
