SHOCKING! Why Mahesh Babu Rejected Suriya's 24?

It can be recalled that there were many reports post Manam that, Mahesh Babu will team up with director Vikram Kumar. The hero and director duo were also spotted together at many events. However, nothing such was materialized.

Apparently, Mahesh Babu was the first one to be approached for Vikram Kumar's 24, which is now done by Suriya. Touted to be a sci-fi thriller, the film is made with the concept of time-travel and Suriya will be seen in triple role.

"Director Vikram Kumar had originally approached Mahesh with the script. He read it and really liked the first half. However, he was not happy with the second half and, hence, turned down the offer, which eventually was lapped up by Suriya," a source quoted by IANS revealed.

"Suriya will be playing an elder brother and younger brother. He will also be seen as the son of the elder brother," the source further added.

Meanwhile, people are now curious to know whether Vikram has considered Mahesh's suggestions or just gone with his instinct although he moved to Surya only because he was hesitant to make changes in the script. Well! Only the result of the film can say who was right. On that note, 24 is slated to release during the summer 2015.
