Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, who has set many records in the 84-year-old Telugu industry, seems to have also written a rare record on his name. Probably, he is the only actor in the current generation to have a number of projects that were shelved, after various stages of film-making.

Nuvve Kavali, which was later made with Tarun and Richa, was supposed to be filmed with Pawan and Amisha Patel as Cheppalani Undhi.
Satyagrahi was launched as the second directorial venture of Pawan Kalyan after Johnny. But the project did not go on floors
A film titled Deshi was planned with Pawan Kalyan, which was touted to be a patriotic film. But it never came into the light.
A film on Jesus Christ, in the direction of Singeetam Srinivasa Rao was announced in Jerusalem. The film was supposed to made in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and many other languages. But it was shelved.
A high budgeted socio-fantasy film in the direction of Trivikram Srinivas was announced post Attarintiki Daredi. However, there were no signs of any such project later.
A film in the combination of Lawrence and Pawan Kalyan was announced by the director himself. He revealed that he had already narrated a powerful script to the actor and got a nod from him. However, there was no update later.
Pawan and Venkatesh were supposed to work together for SVSC. However, things did not go in place and Mahesh replaced Pawan Kalyan.
Films rejected by Pawan Kalyan like, Pokiri, Athadu, Idiot, Amma Nanna Tamil Ammayi etc went on to become super hits when made with other actors.
V V Vinayak
Post Attariniki Daredi, reports were rife that Pawan Kalyan's next would be with V V Vinayak after he completes his part in Gopala Gopala. But the duo never spoke about it.
Though Gabbar Singh 2 is now on sets in the direction of Bobby, it was launched in the direction of Sampath Nandi. There is a rumor that Sampath made Bengal Tiger, with the script he had written for Gabbar Singh 2.
Nevertheless, Pawan Kalyan has his share of classics in his career and has introduced a few promising directors like Karunakaran, Puri Jagannadh etc, who became star-makers later.
Now the fresh reports inform that Pawan Kalyan is in talks with half a dozen of directors, for various projects. The latest ones being the remake of Vedalam with Santhosh Srinivasa, Khushi 2 with S J Surya, a film in the direction of Dolly and another in the production of Dasari Narayana Rao.
So, we have to wait and see how many of these films will really go on to the sets. On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan is busy shooting in Kerala for his next outing, Sardaar Gabbar Singh. The team is gearing up to complete the shoot with non-stop schedules and is aiming to release on 8 April. If everything goes well, Sardaar will have its audio launch on 13 March.
