The film's story deals with a rich man, who finds solace in living for the good of people. Mahesh Babu played the role of Harsha, who adopts a village and solve its problems.

Inspired by the story line of the film, Mahesh Babu adopted Burripalem and Siddhapuram villages. Many celebrities including Prakash Raj, Suhasini Maniratanm and others, followed Mahesh. Though Prakash Raj has already began the welfare activities in the village he had adopted, Mahesh is yet to visit the villages and know their problems.

Reports in the past informed that a special team has been sent to Siddhapuram village, to study the issues in the village. However, the people in the village are accusing Mahesh for forgetting them, post the success of his film Srimanthudu and questioning him if it was just a publicity stunt. Incidentally, the team celebrating 175 days of the film today.
