Brahmotsavam, which released on 20 May, amidst the fans galore and huge expectations, failed to spin magical numbers at the box-office during the first week, which is also a huge shocker for the trade pundits.
Directed by Srikanth Addala, Brahmotsavam collected a total share of 33 Cr world-wide, in the first week and the trade circles opine that there are very less chances for the movie to sustain in the coming days, in the theaters, because of its terrible talk.

Since Mahesh Babu's earlier film, Srimanthudu collected around 60 Cr during its first week and hence there were high expectations on Brahmotsavam as well. The trade circles estimated that it will do around 70 Cr, if the talk is any good.
However, Brahmotsavam opened to highly negative buzz. Though makers tried to control the damage by trimming the film by more than 15 minutes, it seems to have made no impact. It is known that Brahmotsavam has done a pre-release business close to 80 Cr and we have to see how the makers or the actor going to compensate the badly affected distributors.
