Going
by
the
grapevine,
Akkineni
Nagarjuna
is
gearing
up
to
foray
into
the
2017
Sankranthi
race,
with
his
next
film,
which
is
to
be
helmed
by
Raghavendra
Rao.
Touted
to
be
the
biopic
of
Lord
Balaji's
devotee,
Hathiram
Baba,
the
film
has
been
tentatively
titled
as
Om
Namo
Venkatesaya.
The
project
will
go
on
floors
in
the
first
week
of
July
and
Anushka
Shetty
has
been
roped
in
to
play
the
role
of
a
saint
in
the
film.
Apparently,
the
buzz
is
that,
Nagarjuna
wants
to
finish
the
film
before
Pongal
and
release
it
for
the
festival,
as
his
last
Pongal
release
Soggade
Chinni
Nayana
did
wonders
at
the
box-office,
in
spite
of
the
heavy
competition
from
Balakrishna's
Dictator
and
NTR's
Nannaku
Prematho.
If
the
reports
are
any
true,
this
time
Nag
will
not
only
give
a
tough
fight
for
Balakrishna's
100th
film,
Gauthamiputra
Satakarni,
but
also
for
his
good
friend,
Chiranjeevi's
comeback
film.
However,
we
have
to
wait
and
see
how
fast
Chiranjeevi
and
Nagarjuna
will
start
their
projects
and
reach
the
target
release
date,
while
Balakrishna
is
well
ahead
of
them,
by
completing
the
first
schedule
of
his
film.
Nevertheless,
the
fight
between
the
senior
heroes
at
the
box-office,
after
a
long
time,
is
keeping
the
Telugu
movie
buffs
curious.
Bring
it
on!
