#PadmaAwards2016 Rajamouli Gets Padma Shri

It is a moment of pride for Telugities. S S Rajamouli, the director of magnum opus Baahubali and many more such wonders, will be honored with Padma Shri. The list of Padma awards 2016 is out and Rajamouli will be conferred with a Padma award along with popular names like Ramoji Rao and Rajnikanth.

Rajamouli is not only a brilliant director but is also a great philanthropist, whom not many know. He participates actively in the campaigns for road safety, women safety and was also a brand ambassador for Cyberabad police for sometime.

He was honored with Padma Shri for his excellence in the filed of arts. Thanks to Baahubali for exposing his talent at the national level.

Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian award in the Republic of India, after the Bharat Ratna, the Padma Vibhushan and the Padma Bhushan. Awarded by the Government of India, it is announced every year on India's Republic Day.

Sania Mirza, Saina Nehwal are some other famous people of Telugu land, who bagged Padma awards for their excellence and services in their filed. Both the sports woman are getting honored with Padma Bhushan.
