Tollywood director Mohanty Padma Rao alias PK was arrested by Panjagutta police yesterday, for allegedly forging the signatures of a producer.

The director, who is working in the industry since the last twenty years, forged the signatures of producer Jana Ramarao and has sold the rights of a film to Pradeep Chowdary, without his consent.

According to the reports, Padma Rao started a movie titled Ammayilu Take Care in the production of Jana Ramarao, and it is currently in the post-production stage.

Apparently, the director, who turned into a fraud forging the signatures of Jana Ramarao, sold the movie on the profit-sharing basis, after changing the movie name to Vadu Veedu Kalpana, as got greedy for money.

The producer, who quickly realized the fraud that is happening, registered a complaint on Padma Rao and the police reacted timely. The Panjagutta police took the director into the custody.

However, Pradeep Chowdary is currently absconding, and the complete details about the case will be revealed, once the police finds him.
