It's Baahubali 2: The conclusion which is sweeping people by their feet. The movie is not creating waves but instead Tsunami at the Box Office and wait, it's not just sending tremors at Telugu/domestic BO but the impact is being created worldwide.

The sequel riding on the success of its first part, Baahubali: The beginning, opened to some never seen before pre and advance bookings despite ticket price hikes in many regions. With a tactical USP of "Why Kattappa Killed Baahubali", the makers were successful in en-cashing the curiosity of the audience. However, the movie has not disappointed the audience and is all set to become the highest grosser ever of Indian cinema.

For now, it's the Day 1 Worldwide collection which has set a benchmark for any Indian movie and it is quite a daunting task for any movie to break the gigantic records set by Baahubali 2.

The movie overtook the pre-booking records of Fast and Furious 8 in the US circuit and the number of footfalls of the same movie in UAE. It was reported that as many as 12 tickets were sold for a single second in Book My Show during the time of advance booking.

The recent numbers have shown that the movie has clearly emerged as a champion and has thrashed all Day 1 records in as many as 29 out of 30 states including Delhi.
The movie has grossed a whopping 58Cr in AP/TG circuit which is a colossal number in a single state by any yardstick. It's not just that, but the legendary movie has earned a massive 19.5Cr in Karnataka surpassing Darshan starrer Chakravarthy, around 6Cr in Kerala beating Mammotty's The Great Father and a rocking 58Cr in the North Indian circuits pushing all movies of Khans behind by a mile.

North America which combines both USA and Canada stands with a cool 30Cr which is over $4Mn. The only south Indian movie to gross $4Mn was Rajinikanth's Kabali and that was its lifetime earner. Meanwhile, Baahubali 2 has fetched the same amount on a single day with premiers.

UAE grossed 16Cr while rest of the world adds up to 14Cr.Though the movie, officially holds the distinction of scoring Day 1 records in all states and territories, it failed to break the Day 1 record of Superstar Rajinikanth's last venture, Kabali which earned an enormous 21.5Cr in Tamil Nadu while the Rajamouli directorial movie grossed 11Cr in the said region.

Though the movie had a delayed start at 11AM due to distributors dispute, the movie could have ended up at 15-16Cr had the magnum opus seen light at the right time and would have occupied the second spot right after Kabali.

Going by the trade, reports, word of mouth and critical reception, the movie is all set to become the highest grosser of Indian cinema and could possibly be the first ever Indian movie to achieve the rare accomplishment of earning 1000Cr gross in the Box Office.

Five years of dedication by the entire Baahubali team and the output of the movie deserve every bit of the success, and the long weekend at the domestic box office would propel the victory even better.
