Anjali is a Telugu-born Tamil actress, who carved a niche for herself in both industries by portraying interesting roles with conviction and ease. She has this girl-next-door image that makes her a treat to watch on the screen, with her acting skills enhancing the experience. Anjali completed 17 years in the Tamil and Telugu industries and has done several notable roles and films to her credit.

Anjali was in love with actor Jai for a very long time and they eventually broke up, silently. There was no clarification or statements from either of them after the news came out. However, it is an open secret that Jai and Anjali lived together for many years.

Post break up, Anjali focused more on her film career and starred in projects including female-oriented stories and unusual scripts in which she played a variety of roles. She went on to the digital streaming space also. She was part of four female-oriented web series- Navarasa, Jhansi, Fall, and Bahishkarna.

The 36-year-old actress debuted and made her Telugu acting debut in 2006 through a film titled Photo, in which she played a ghost. She made her Tamil debut in 2007 although many of her earlier projects, which were supposed to be her debut in 2002, have been shelved.

Anjali, who was last seen in Iratta, a Malayalam film, is currently working with the Oscar-winning RRR star Ram Charan, on his next with legendary director Shankar Shanmugam. Referred to as RC 15, the movie is bilingual and features Kiara Advani as the female lead opposite Ram Charan.

She is also filming for a web series titled 'Bahishkarna' for Zee 5 in Telugu.
