Adhurs
4K
Re-release
Advance
Bookings:
Adhurs
was
released
in
the
year
2010
and
became
a
cult
film
over
the
decades.
The
movie
was
directed
by
V
V
Vinayak,
who
made
an
epic
comedy-action
thriller
with
Jr
NTR.
However,
Adhurs
wasn't
a
box
office
phenomenon
when
it
first
hit
the
screens.
Adhurs
featured
Jr
NTR
in
a
dual
role.
One,
Narasimha
grows
up
with
a
mother
and
works
for
the
police
department
as
an
undercover
agent
in
the
disguise
of
a
gangster,
while
the
other
grows
up
to
become
a
Brahmin
priest
named
Chari,
under
the
aegis
of
Bhattu,
played
by
Brahmanandam.
The
comedy
track
between
Chari
and
Bhattu
is
one
of
the
most
revered
combinations
in
Tollywood
and
it
worked
out
brilliantly,
making
the
movie
a
cult
watch.
Adhurs
Re-Release
In
4K
Since
it
is
going
to
take
another
six
months
for
Jr
NTR
to
hit
the
big
screens
with
his
much-anticipated
film
Devara,
helmed
by
Koratala
Siva,
the
fans'
request
to
re-release
Adhurs
was
heeded
by
the
makers
of
the
film.
Adhurs
will
be
re-released
in
4K
version
in
select
theatres
across
Andhra
Pradesh
and
Telangana,
the
two
Telugu-speaking
states
on
November
18.
The
advance
ticket
bookings
have
begun.
However,
as
much
as
the
film's
re-release
is
hyped,
the
advance
bookings
are
not
as
big
as
it
was
expected
to
be.
According
to
a
report
in
Track
Tollywood,
Adhurs
re-release
advance
bookings
are
not
even
close
to
Megastar
Chiranjeevi's
Shankardada
MBBS'
re-release.
The
lack
of
interest
in
re-releases
is
one
big
reason,
opine
the
experts.
Tollywood
created
history
with
the
re-release
of
Superstar
Mahesh
Babu's
Pokiri
film
at
first,
on
the
actor's
birthday.
They
donated
the
collections
to
charity,
reportedly.
Ever
since,
the
re-release
trend
caught
up
with
Tollywood
with
more
than
a
dozen
films
hitting
the
screens.
So,
how
Adhurs
performs
at
the
re-release
days
is
yet
to
be
seen.
Adhurs
stars
Jr
NTR,
Nayanthara,
Brahmanandam,
Sheela,
Mahesh
Manjrekar,
Ashish
Vidyarthi,
Tanikella
Bharani,
Sayaji
Shinde,
Ramaprabha,
Mukul
Dev,
MS
Narayana,
Raghu
Babu,
and
many
other
actors
who
played
prominent
characters.
Comedian
Raghu
Karumanchi
became
even
more
popular
after
Adhurs,
for
his
role
in
the
film.
Chota
K
Naidu
cranked
the
camera
for
this
hilarious
entertainer.
Devi
Sri
Prasad
composed
the
background
score
and
tunes.
Gautham
Raju
worked
as
the
editor.
Adhurs
was
bankrolled
by
Vallabhaneni
Vamsi
and
Kodali
Nani,
Jr
NTR's
friends,
and
politicians
under
the
Annapurna
Studios
banners
for
an
amount
of
Rs
26
Crore.
Reliance
Big
Entertainment
presented
this
film.
