breathed
his
last
in
Hyderabad
on
February
29.
He
died
due
to
age-related
illness
at
his
home
in
Secunderabad
and
was
73
at
the
time
of
his
death.
He
was
popular
for
singing
several
songs
under
the
music
direction
of
Devi
Sri
Prasad,
Koti,
and
etc.
Vaddepalli
Srinivas
rose
to
popularity
through
his
folk
performances
as
a
Singer.
He
rendered
vocals
to
over
100
songs
in
Telugu
films
other
than
several
other
folk
songs
he
recorded
for
private
albums.
Tollywood
and
other
folk
artist
associations
have
expressed
heartfelt
condolences
on
the
occasion.
Srinivas
got
a
break
in
the
Telugu
film
industry
after
musician-writer-singer
Devi
Sri
Prasad
brought
him
on
board
to
sing
a
chartbuster
song
'Gannulanti
Kannulunna
Junnulanti
Pilla..'
for
Pawan
Kalyan
and
Shruti
Haasan-starrer
Gabbar
Singh,
that
was
released
in
2012.
The
song
as
well
as
the
album
was
highly
successful,
making
Vaddepalli
a
new
name
and
address
for
mass
songs
in
the
industry.
For
the
same
song
which
he
had
sung
under
the
direction
of
Devi
Sri
Prasad,
Vaddepalli
Srinivas
received
the
'Filmfare'
Award
for
the
Best
Male
Singer
category.
But
he
had
debuted
in
the
industry
with
Devi
Sri
Prasad's
movie
titled
'King'
featuring
Nagarjuna
Akkineni.
In
this
film,
he
sang
the
song
called
'Yentapani
Chestiviro.'
Vaddepalli
Srinivas'

his

members.
A
few
days
ago,
he
was
brought
home
after
being
discharged
from
the
hospital
for
a
prolonged
chronic
illness.
The
funeral
services
will
be
held
on
March
1
in
Padmarao
Nagar
Colony
in
Hyderabad.
