While the world reveled in welcoming New Year's Day 2024, the people of Japan have lived through and survived the horrendous series of massive earthquakes of the highest magnitudes. Several videos and clips from the country shook the world. Tollywood's Young Tiger Jr NTR, the global star who rose to super stardom worldwide after RRR, the SS Rajamouli directorial, narrowly escaped the New Year's Day earthquakes of highest-magnitude in Japan. Tarak aka Jr NTR spent a week there before he reach back home.

The 'Devara' actor took to his social media handles to share this horrifying experience and wrote, "Back home today from Japan and deeply shocked by the earthquakes hitting. Spent the entire last week there, and my heart goes out to everyone affected. Grateful for the resilience of the people and hoping for a swift recovery. Stay strong, Japan 🇯🇵, (sic)." Jr NTR's Work Front

The actor is currently filming for his highly-anticipated period action drama titled Devara, under the direction of Koratala Siva. He and Siva have earlier worked on Janatha Garage, a successful film. The duo is working hard and is hopeful to make Devara an outstanding film.

On New Year's Day, the makers of Devara, which stars Janhvi Kapoor in her south debut along with Saif Ali Khan in the antagonist's role. The Jr NTR's Devara glimpse, a teaser will be dropped on January 8. The movie is aiming for a release worldwide in Telugu on April 5, 2024.

Japan's New Year's Day earthquake shook the western side of the country and damaged roads, buildings, bridges, constructions, etc taking as many as eight lives. The local officials have warned people to stay tight as the tremors may be felt on Tuesdays as well. The earthquakes of 7.6 magnitude hit the west coast of Japan's main island, Honshu, Ishikawa among other areas. The eight deaths occurred in Wajima city, according to the reports. More than 10 people got injured due to this natural calamity.
