Madan
is
a
good
storywriter.
He
gave
the
story
for
Aa
Naluguru
which
was
directed
by
Chandra
Siddhartha
proved
a
big
success
and
earned
a
critical
acclaim.
The
name
and
fame
earned
from
the
first
film,
had
prompted
him
to
direct
a
film
on
his
own
production
on
the
banner
of
'Aa
Naluguru
Films'.
He
took
a
delicate
issue
-
relationship
between
wife
and
husband
immediately
after
their
marriage
-
and
tried
to
give
a
good
message
how
a
couple
should
mould
its
marital
life.
Harikrishna @ Hari (Jagapatibabu) is a software professional. Lakshmi @ Lucky (Priyamani) is also a software professional. They meet accidentally in a programme of private TV channel and that starts with a quarrel. However, they get married with the help of a marriage bureau run by Janaki @ Janu (Jhansi). Chalapati (Sunil) is her hen-pecked husband. After their marriage, Janu is the friend of Lucky, who brainwashes the latter that a woman should make her husband loyal to her. At the same time, Hari's friend (Krishna Bhagawan), who is a lawyer also advises Hari to keep Lucky under control. These words of their friends leave their marital life high and dry, as both of them fall victims of ego and self-respect. The situation become so worse that both of them come to a decision to apply for divorce. At this juncture, Hari's grandfather (Kota Srinivasa Rao) and grandmother (Geetanjali), who come to know about the tragedy in the lives of Hari and Lucky, decide to unite them. The old couple, invites Hari and his wife to perform Dampatya Vratam. They play several tricks and finally their plan proved successful and Hari and Lucky were about to unite with a good understanding. At that time, Lucky comes to know that it was a trick played by the old couple and gets angry. But Hari's grandfather makes a final trial and asks both of them to write down the minus points of the other. When Hari and Lucky write down something and give it to him, he says that they penned down the mistakes committed by the other person and wanted them to pinpoint their minus points. When asked the difference between the mistake and a minus point, he says, a mistake could be rectified, but a minus point is beyond correction. After giving a good explanation, they both realize that they were in fault and failed to understand each other properly, because of the words of their friends. The film ends on a happy note with the union of the hero and heroine.
Plus:
The
fantastic
narration
of
the
difference
between
a
mistake
and
minus
point
is
the
biggest
asset
for
the
film.
The
graphic
works
and
the
song
choreographed
on
Kota
Srinivasa
Rao
and
the
mythological
description
in
the
form
of
Lord
Shiva,
Parvati
and
the
Gangavataranam
with
graphics
is
the
highlight
of
the
film.
Jagapatibabu
is
known
for
doing
such
roles
with
great
ease
and
Priyamani
also
looked
cute
and
put
up
good
performance.
Another
highlight
is
the
idea
of
complaint
box
near
the
bedroom.
The
storyline
in
itself
is
very
delicate
and
the
roles
of
Kota
and
Gitanjali
were
another
big
asset
for
the
film
Minus:
Though
the
film
has
a
good
storyline,
the
director
failed
to
establish
the
aversion
between
the
wife
and
husband
properly.
The
entry
and
exit
of
Raju
Sundaram
and
Astha
Singhal
was
also
not
established
appropriately.
The
comedy
track
that
run
on
Venumadhav
though
evoked
laughter,
has
nothing
to
do
with
the
story.
Likewise
the
other
comedy
track
run
on
Brahmanandam
and
Kovai
Sarala
also
has
nothing
to
do
with
the
story.
Though
in
a
20-minute
shoot
before
the
climax
he
tried
to
explain
the
sweetness
of
marriage
life,
the
entire
film
runs
on
the
differences
between
a
wife
and
husband.
Remarks:
The
film
is
good
to
watch
with
a
family.
The
subject,
the
way
it
has
been
dealt
with
was
quite
good
and
the
film
would
definitely
attract
the
family
crowds
to
the
theatres.
However,
lack
of
commercial
elements
in
the
film,
might
show
an
adverse
impact
and
the
film's
commercial
success
is
doubtful.
