A complete action film sans the entertainment
Though the Telugu film makers always fall short of good stories, creative directors like Chandrasekhar Yeleti were able to present a little different from routine subjects and his films like Aithe and Anukokunda Oka Roju prove this statement. He prepared a tailor made story for Gopichand who had earned a mass image with films like Ranam and Yagnam. Cherry, who had worked as executive producer for some films , has produced through this film. The story had a good action backdrop and a major part of the film was shot in Mumbai.

Gauthami (Neha Jhulka) is a real estate agent in Mumbai. She brokers deals with the buyers and sellers and gets paid commissionwise. She arranges a deal between Gowri Shankar (Suman) of Sri Venkateswara Bank, Hyderabad, and a Seth (Raghubabu) in Mumbai, for the sale of a guest house in Mumbai. As per the agreement, there is three months time for registration. However, Gowri Shankar's son Kiran (Gopichand) comes to Mumbai and demands the money immediately. Though Gauthami tries very hard to convince Kiran that it may not be possible to complete the deal early, the latter did not listen and want to complete the deal saying that he needed urgently needed money.

On the other hand, there is a mafia don called Sonu Bhai (Mahesh Manjrekar), who needs an urgent heart transplantation and looks for a person who has a typical blood group called Mumbai Group. Despite several efforts, the entire mafia gang was not able to get a person with that rare blood group. Incidentally, Kiran has the same blood group and the goons catch him. However, Kiran escapes as he was alerted by the nephew of Sonu Bhai (Rahul Dev), who eyed his property. From then on the chase begins between Kiran, Gauthami and Sonu Bhai's men. In fact, Kiran's father Gowrishankar who started a private bank suffers losses.

The customers attack the bank on learning about the losses demanding the return of their deposits. In order to recoup from it, he needs urgent deposits from other banks to safeguard the interests of the customers. Kiran and Gowrishankar approach a finance secretary Janakiram (Tanikella Bharani) in the Central government who could influence the RBI and he demands Rs 4 crore as bribe. So Kiran reaches Mumbai to collect the sale proceeds which could be given to him. Now, Sonu Bhai's friend Jayadev (Nazar) calls up Chandrasekhar and promises Rs 200 crore deposit. Following a call from his father Kiran meets Jayadev and Sonubhai, who agree to deposit the money but in return wanted Kiran's heart. After a lot of mental struggle, Kiran decides to take away the money as Sonubhai is threatening the Seth against buying his guest house. Finally, Kiran goes to Sonubhai's hotel and takes away Rs 100 crore by thrashing all his goons. He also destroys the lifesaving machine arranged to Sonubhai. The film ends with the death of Sonubhai and Jayadev's suicide as he could not stop Kiran.

Plus Points
The macho man physique of Gopichand, his ease in action scenes and histrionics are the major plus point of the film. The choreography of action scenes is another highlight. Cinematography by Jayakrishna especially in action scenes and the use of digital intermediate technology in action scenes and in a couple of songs was also appealing.

Minus Points
Though the villain is said to be a big mafia don who threatens the entire Mumbai was portrayed as a puppet. There are several loopholes in the characterization of the villain. An ordinary man thrashing the men of a mafia don and taking away of Rs 100 crore looks like a joke. In an attempt to elevate the hero's image, the director let down the villain's role in the film. Despite a gripping screenplay, the poor portrayal of the villain spoiled the entire film. Music by Keeravani is just okay. But for the Gopichand's solo song shot abroad, no other song is worth watching. The heroine's role was also downplayed. There was no scope either for performance nor a good choreography in songs to highlight her glamour.

Final Remarks:
When compared with the earlier films of Chandrasekhar Yeleti, this film looked a little poor as he looked compromised in certain scenes to boost the image of the hero. The director tried to rewrite the medical science by creating a rare blood group. Lack of comedy is another major minus in the film. There is absolutely no comedy track and the 5-minute comedy bit involving Giribabu, Brahmanandam is not appealing. It is not known why the director had kept a brother to the heroine and the scene could be totally avoided. It is just an okay film for those who like action films. The film might run well in B, C centres because of its mass appeal with good action scenes. Can be recommended to watch once only if you are interested in action films.
