After facing lot of hurdles for four long years, Sai Dharam Tej's supposed debut film, Rey has hit screens today. The title of the film, Rey has been tried to justify by its tagline, 'Shout Out For Success'. Well! let us quickly see if it has got the success it is longing for or not.
Rey is about a shout for success in the pop world. The film is
entirely set in a caribbean back drop and all the characters
represent the mindset of caribbeans. It is a war between two pop
stars hailing from two different countries to be titled as best in
Sai Dharam Tej excelled in showcasing his dancing prowess and he
was decent in portraying his acting abilities. Since Rey is
technically Sai Dharam Tej's first film, he was presented in a
massy way to attract the mass audiences and en-cash the prime
potentiality of mega family.
Saiyami Kher was okay but she has failed
to create any impact. Shraddha Das has got to play the main
antagonist of the film and she has done her job pretty well. Both
the ladies have gone out of the box in adding the glamour quotient
to the film.
Venu Madhav irritates you at times in the name of comedy. Ali's
comedy track as Lungi Baba, managed to share some laughs. Raghu
Babu has played his part well in the spoof on three top
Since the film is shot almost 4 years ago, it lacks the quality.
Too many cuts and mutes makes it a bumpy ride. The characters have
been designed to be very bold, since caribbean's are touted to be
quite straight forward.
The so called bold attitude has gone over the board and tests
your patience. Chakri's music is a savior but the song placements
are real bane in the 2 hour 48 mins film. Director YVS chowdary's
over confidence was evident in the film and he has failed to pull
of the film in an interesting way.
Styling of the lead actors and setting of the film lacks the
nativity and though there were too many action sequences and heavy
dialogues, it falls short of the punch.
Rey has nothing to be talked about except the efforts Sai Dharam
Tej has put in. We don't know if Rey is really a shout for success
or not, it surely is a Shout for Exit from audience in the
Sai Dharam Tej
Hero Sai Dharam Tej has been introduced in an interesting way as
Movie opens up with hero Ram voice over and Shraddha Das has
been introduced as Jenna, a top Mexican pop star.
Saiyami Kher plays the role Amrutha and some challenging scenes
between Sai Dharam Tej and her came out well.
The first song in the film 'Andam oka attraction' was shot in a
stylish and glamorous way.
Sai Dharam Tej impressed with his good energy levels and
Movie heads towards interval with a challenging scene between
Sai Dharam Tej and Saiyami Kher.
Shraddha Das And Sai Dharam Tej
Romantic track between Sai Dharam Tej and Shraddha Das failed to
leave any impression.
In the remix song 'Golimaar', Chiranjeevi and Sai Dharam Tej
were seen shaking a leg together, with the help of
