Kalyan Ram, who started off the year with a remarkable hit Pataas, is here with his next offering Sher, in the theaters near to you. Before you watch the movie, read the review here to know what is in store.

Sher Story:

The story of the film offers nothing but a routine revenge drama. To put it straight and simple, it is the story of a guy called Gautham, who takes revenge on the baddies that killed his mother and brother, connecting the dots. What role did the love of his life play in the journey? How did he chases the evil forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Kalyan Ram has improved his ease of acting and showcased a sense of maturity in his dialogue delivery and diction. He was good enough in dances and comedy timing too. Sonal Chauhan adds up the glamour quotient in the film besides pepping up the songs. Vikramjeet, Mukesh and Shayaji Shinde have done their job well. Brahmanandam manages to tickle at times with his funny references to Pawan Kalyan and other star heroes.

Technical Aspects:

Written by Diamond Ratna Babu and directed by M Mallikarjuna Rao, Sher lacks any kind of creativity except for the few comedy scenes here and there. Snail paced narration tests your patience. A scene that imbibes Athanokkade bridge sequence in to this film was thoughtful. Music by Thaman and late Chakri was foot-tapping though a couple of songs were placed terribly. Cinematography and production values were commendable.

Overview:

Sher is more or less the same 'template Telugu film' that we get to see almost every week, which tries to entertain with mistaken identities and feeds through a revenge point. We are confused if it is still okay to suggest you to watch the same routine sagas while Tollywood is emerging to heights with films like Kanche, Srimanthudu and Baahubali. Nevertheless, it will be a fun watch for the masses.
