U
Turn
was
in
fact
one
of
the
most
discussed
Kannada
movies
of
the
year
2016.
It
won
a
whole
lot
of
praises
and
later,
it
was
announced
that
the
movie
is
being
remade
in
Tamail,
by
the
same
director.
The
expectations
regarding
the
remake
was
pretty
high
and
has
it
lived
upto
the
hype?
Read
U
Turn
review
here
to
get
the
answer.
The
story
of
U
Turns
revolves
around
a
journalist
named
Rachana,
who
is
working
on
a
special
report
regarding
the
people
who
violate
the
rules
and
take
illegal
U
Turn.
Meanwhile,
a
series
of
deaths
have
been
occuring
in
the
city
which
seemingly
gets
a
connection
with
the
illegal
U
Turns.
What
happens
rest
has
been
narrated
in
U
Turn.
U
Turn
is
more
or
less
a
scene-to-scene
remake
of
the
original
version.
The
plot
of
the
film
is
indeed
a
captivating
one
and
the
way
in
which
Pawan
Kumar
has
layered
the
screenplay
of
the
movie
is
impressive.
The
audiences
are
in
for
some
special
surprises,
which
get
unveiled
in
a
proper
manner
on
screen.
Pawan
Kumar
has
packaged
the
film
neatly,
much
similar
to
the
original
version
and
there
aren't
any
unwanted
masala
elements
just
for
the
sake
of
entertainment.
He
manages
to
keep
you
engaged
with
the
rock
solid
narration
as
well
as
the
impressive
tuens
of
events
that
unfold
in
between.
At
the
same
time,
the
pace
of
the
movie,
especially
in
the
initial
parts
of
the
film
might
not
appeal
to
everyone.
Samantha
Akkineni
fits
into
the
role
perfectly.
Interestingly,
the
actress
had
played
the
role
of
a
journalist
in
this
year's
movie
Mahanati
but
Rachana
in
U
Turn
is
quite
different.
Samantha
has
brought
in
that
difference
with
her
performance
and
she
shoulders
the
film
efficiently
with
a
scintillating
perormance.
Aadhi
Pinisetty
is
impressive
in
the
role
of
the
police
officer.
Rahul
Ravindran
has
done
a
neat
job.
Bhumika
Chawla
makes
a
good
impact
with
her
short
and
important
role.
Rest
of
the
cast
comprising
of
actors
like
Nare,
Aadukalam
Narein
etc.,
are
impressive.
Cinematography
by
Niketh
Bommireddy
is
fine
so
is
the
case
of
editing
by
Suresh
Arumugan.
Music
by
Poorna
Chandra
Tejaswi
adds
the
required
intensity
to
the
film.
U
Turn
is
indeed
a
faithful
and
effective
remake
of
its
original
version
from
Kannada.
The
film
has
a
gripping
narrative
pattern
and
more
importantly,
it
does
deliver
some
important
messages
as
well.
