Aadujeevitham, L2: Empuraan, Salaar and more: 5 Upcoming Movies Of Mollywood Superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran

Aadujeevitham(Goat Days) is one of the most anticipated Malayalam movies of 2023. Starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, which is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Blessy. The movie is an adaptation of the novel of the same name, Aadujeevitham written by prominent writer Benyamin.

Touted to be a survival drama, it tells the story of a migrant worker named Najeed enslaved as a goatherd in a Saudi Arabian farm. The movie also explores the themes like modern slavery,  exploitation, and the struggles of migrant life. The movie was shot in different countries like Algeria, Jordan, and India. If reports are to be believed, the filmmakers took nine years to complete the film. Apart from Prithviraj, Aadujeevitham also stars Amala Paul, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Aparna Balamurali, and  Vineeth Sreenivasan in crucial roles. The background score and songs are composed by A. R. Rahman. As per the reports, the film will be released this year, but the official has not released any statement regarding this yet.

L2: Empuraan is the sequel to the blockbuster hit movie 'Lucifer', featuring actor Mohanlal in the lead role. Helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film is being produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad Productions. The big-budget movie written by screen-writer and actor Murali Gopy, marks second directorial venture of Prithviraj. The first part of the movie 'Lucifer' was released in theaters in 2019 and had received excellent responses from the audience as well as critics alike. 'Lucifer' becomes a blockbuster at the box office and Mohanlal's first Malayalam film which crossed 200 crore club.

Prithviraj Sukumaran will be seen in the upcoming Hindi movie called 'Chote Miyan Bade Miyan' which is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Starring Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff in the prominent roles, 'Chote Miyan Bade Miyan' is jointly produced by Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh. The action-packed movie will marks actor Prithviraj 's fourth Bollywood movie after 'Aiyyaa', 'Naam Shabana', and 'Aurangzeb'. According to reports, the film will hit the theaters in 2024.

If reports are to be believed, the actor will be essaying a significant role in the much-anticipated Pan-Indian movie 'Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire'. The film, directed by 'KGF' fame filmmaker, Prashanth Neel, also stars Pan-Indian star Prabhas, Sruthi Hassan, Jagapathi Babu in central roles. Billed as a gangster drama, 'Salar' marks first the collaboration of  Prabhas and director Prashanth Neel. Salaar is produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, the makers of the successful KGF franchise. The film will be released in theaters on September 28, 2023, in 5 languages including Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi.

The upcoming movie 'Tyson marks Prithviraj Sukumaran's third directorial venture after Lucifer and the upcoming sequel “Empuraan”. Written by Murali Gopi,  it is reportedly a social thriller drama. The film will be produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of  Hombale Films and released in theaters in December 2023.
