Actresses Who Made Debut In Malayalam Cinema 2023

Tamil Actress Pragya Nagra debuted in the Malayalam film indsutry with the Dhyan Sreenivasan movie titled 'Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna'. In the she also shared a screen space with actor Aju Varghese. Helmed by debutant directors Vijesh Panathur and Unni Vellora, the film earned mixed reviews from the audience and critics. Pragya Nagr's performance stands tall, compared to other female actors in the movie. The audience has also appreciated Aju and Pragya’s chemistry in the film.

Popular actress Tamannaah Bhatia who also did a couple of Bollywood films made her Malayalam debut this year in November with the action drama 'Bandra'. In the movie, she played a lead role opposite Dileep. The film directed by Arun Gopy, tells the story of a gangster and shows how he finds the love of his life and what happens when he tells her his reality on the plot of the film. Produced by Vinayaka Ajith, Tamil music director Sam C.S. composed the music for the movie.

Following her successful debut in Tamil cinema, Haniya Nafisa ventured into Malayalam cinema with 'O Baby' in 2023. Under the direction of Ranjan Pramod, the film delves into the urgent themes of caste discrimination, societal oppression, and honor killing within its storyline. Speaking of performances, the entire cast delivers exceptional portrayals, with a standout contribution from Dileesh Pothan. The talented young actress, Haniya Nafisa, who portrays the character of Mini, also delivers remarkable performances, showcasing her impressive acting skills.

Television host Parvathy Babu made her successful debut with 'Ayalvaashi' under the direction of Irshad Parari. Even though the movie failed at the box office, the beauty queen managed to impress with her screen presence. The film hit the theaters on April 21 and is currently available on OTT platform Netflix.

The actress grabbed everyone's attention with her stellar  her stunning performance for the song 'Kalapakare' in the movie 'King Of Kotha'. Her remarkable portrayal, enhanced by her graceful saree attire and captivating dance moves, left an indelible impression on her audience. Dancer Meenakshi Warrier made her debut this year with 'Madhura Manohara Moham' alongside Sharafudheen and Rajisha Vijayan'. She was loved for the portrayal of Malu Mohan in the family drama. Her performance was amazing in the movie and received a lot of appreciation from audience and critics.
