Adrishya Jalakanghanl was the first Malayalam movie screened at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia in 2023.

The performances of the actors in this historical drama is powerful enough to touch people’s heart and leave tears in their eyes. The film is an adaptation of a 1968 namesake play by K.M. Chithambaram. The play, which was one of the few literary accounts of the tragic firing incident, won the Kerala Sahitya Parishad Award in 1973.

Set against the backdrop of the devastating 2018 Kerala floods, the film pays tribute to the unsung heroes of the crisis - the fishermen.  Starring Tanvi Ram, Kunchako Boban, and Aparna Balamurali, "2018" reached a remarkable milestone in June when its makers declared it had crossed the Rs 200 crore mark at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing film in Malayalam cinema.


Talking about its technical aspects, the movie minimized the use of visual effects and instead focused on creating sets and props, including those for the flood scenes, from scratch. This dedication to craftsmanship underscored the power of teamwork in bringing a compelling vision to life. 2o18 was selected by the Federation of India as the country's official entry to the Oscars in 2023.

Once consumed by bitterness, she plunges headlong into solving a murder mystery while seeking retribution, a path from which there's no turning back.  Directed by Jithin Isaac, the movie is a real portrayal of a woman pushed beyond her limits. Vincy Aloshoius who portrayed the role of Rekha in the movie grabbed the audience's attention. She received a Kerala State Film Fare Best Actress Award for her outstanding performance in the movie.

Starring Manju Warrier in the lead, this movie draws from the life experiences of Malayalam actor and activist Nilambur Ayisha. It intricately captures a range of emotions while presenting the incident in a compelling manner. Although not strictly a biographical account, the film draws inspiration from a significant real-life event, offering insight into a person's life that many may find familiar.

Kannan's journey to Mumbai for smuggling purposes culminates tragically with his mysterious death, discovered hanging in a hotel room. As the Mumbai police investigate, their trail leads them to Thrissur and Coimbatore in pursuit of cracking the case. Initially a tale of friendship, "Thankam" evolves into a gripping crime drama. The cinematography skillfully maintains a suspenseful atmosphere, keeping viewers on edge for imminent events.

The plot centers on Manu, Meera, and Malu, siblings raised by their single mother. Seeking approval from his girlfriend's father, Manu assumes the position of secretary at the Nair Service Society Karayogam, Kumbazha. Additionally, the film delves into the impactful role of caste as a significant social element in Kerala, specifically in the realm of marriages.

The movie portrays a romantic bond between the estate owner's daughter Simi and the manager's son, Baby. Amidst caste-related hurdles, the estate owner compels Baby to eradicate his own son due to their relationship. The storyline evolves as the couple faces exceptional hurdles, shaping their journey in pursuit of honor. Directed by Ranjan Pramod, the movie explores feudal society through the minds of a few young people, who want to break free from the stifling atmosphere. The central role in the movie were played by Dileesh Pothan, Vishnu Agasthya and Athulya Chandra.
