Vishwanath Patekar, known as Nana Patekar, was born in Murud-Janjira, Bombay on January 1st, 1951. He is one if the most honorable personalities of India, apart from being famous for his acting skills he is also popular for his screenwriting and filmmaking. He has been highly recognized in several film industries in India and before becoming a film artist he was an Indian Territorial army officer. Nana has been honored by three National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. In 2013 for his contribution to Indian Cinema Nana was bestowed with the Padma Bhushan Award.
