Suraj Venjaramoodu's Higuita is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Touted to be a complete political thriller drama, the film brings a new wave in Malayalam cinema. Helmed by Hemath G Nair 'Higuita' will hit the screens on March 31, 2023. As per the latest reports, the film will start streaming on Amazon Prime on April last week.

Renowned writer N.S.Madhavan who raised a voice against the film makers in 2022, which focuses on the title of the movie. He expressed displeasure about the title , which is also the title of his shorty story based on the former Colombian football player Rene Higuita. It was happened after the release of first-look poster of the film on the last year.

Actor Suraj Venjaramoodu who will appear in a lead role along with Dhyan Sreenivasan, Manoj K Jayan and Indrans. For the first time, actor Suraj Venjaramoodu who plays a politician role in his career life. Scripted by the director himself, the movie produced by Bobby Tharain and Sajitha Amma under the banner of 2ND Half Productions jointly with Mangoes N Coconuts. Fazil Nazer handled the cinematography for the film. Music composed by Rahul Raj jointly with Dawn Vincent.
