Upcoming Malayalam Movies March 2024: Aadujeevitham, Thankamani, Aanandapuram Diaries and more

The highly anticipated film, 'Aadujeevitham' (also known as 'The GOAT Life') starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, is set to hit theaters worldwide on March 28, 2024. Initially scheduled for April 10, the release date has been advanced to March 28, coinciding with the Easter weekend. Based on the 2008 Malayalam novel of the same name by Benyamin, the film is directed by Blessy. Alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, the cast includes Jimmy Jean-Louis, Amala Paul, Rik Aby, and Talib al Balushi. The technical crew comprises cinematographer KS Sunil, editor Sreekar Prasad, and composer AR Rahman.

Thankamani stands as one of the highly anticipated films starring Dileep in 2024. Directed by Ratheesh Reghunandan and produced by RB Choudhary under the Super Good Films banner, the movie delves into a real-life incident that transpired in Thankamany in October 1986. Neeti Pillai, renowned for her role in 'Poomaran,' takes on a leading female role in the film. Recent updates suggest that the movie is slated for a theatrical release on March 7, 2024.

Actress Meena is all set to make a triumphant return to Malayalam cinema with her upcoming film, 'Anandapuram Diaries,' helmed by writer-director Jaya Jose Raj. This collaboration marks her reunion with Raj, who previously directed her in 'Idam,' a project where she starred alongside Srikanth and Manoj K Jayan. Produced by Neil Productions India Pvt., the film boasts a musical score by Shaan Rahman, with lyrics penned by Rafiq Ahmed. Reportedly, the film is set to hit theaters on March 1, 2024.

Directed by TV Ranjith, 'Oru Bharatha Sarkar Ulpannam' is a social drama centered around male sterilization, depicting the journey of two individuals on a mission to locate a candidate for the procedure. Subish Sudhi, recognized for his supporting roles, steps into the lead alongside Shelly Kishore. Scheduled for release on March 1st, this film stars Aju Varghese, Subish Sudhi, and Gouri G Kishan in pivotal roles.

Reportedly, alongside Jaya Jose Raj's 'Anandapuram Diaries,' the Hakkim Shah-starrer 'Kadakan' is anticipated to grace theaters. Directed by debutant Sajil Mampad, with a screenplay crafted by Bodhi and Sasi Kumar Mampad, the film boasts a supporting cast including actors Ranjith, Sarath Sabha, Fahiz Bin Rifai, Nirmal Palazhi, Harisree Asokan, and Jaffar Idukki.

Starring Mubin Rafi, son of the esteemed director and screenwriter Rafi, in the lead role, Once Upon A Time In Kochi marks the first-ever collaboration between Nadirshah and Rafi. Produced by Kalandoor and helmed by renowned filmmaker Nadirshah, this movie is poised to deliver a gripping investigative thriller.  Originally slated for a global debut on February 23rd, the release date underwent a postponement. While reports speculate a March 2024 release, the official announcement regarding the precise date is still pending from the makers.
