Following Rajesh Sharma's hospitalization, actress Sudipa Chatterjee shared a detailed note on what exactly had happened. Apparently, after wrapping up the shoot, Sharma was having a chat with the local technicians when he allegedly suffered the insect bite.

While initially he was fine and ignored it as he didn't experience anything, later he developed a high fever and the infection spread rapidly on his leg.

Rajesh Sharma's health condition left his fans and family members in deep worry. Actor Askhay Kumar, who recently shared the screen space with Sharma in Bhooth Bangla, also expressed his concern for the veteran actor on Twitter (X) and prayed for his speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, amid the growing concern, Rajesh Sharma's condition seems to have improved and the actor is reportedly doing better now. Sharing the latest update on Rajesh Sharma's health, actress and family friend Sudipa Chatterjee told HT, "He's a little better now. It's an unknown insect bite and tests are being done and his condition is being monitored. So treatment is on and the last two days he is much better."

Recently, in a video, Rajesh Sharma's personal assistant (PA), Subhasis Panda, dismissed reports claiming the actor was bitten by an insect. He clarified that the actor's blood sugar levels had risen significantly, causing swelling in his legs. Panda added that Rajesh Sharma was admitted to a Kolkata hospital solely due to diabetes-related complications.

Speaking to The Wall, Rajesh Sharma's PA, Subhasis Panda, dismissed reports claiming the actor was bitten by an insect.

His PA further told The Wall that if everything goes as planned, the actor is likely to be discharged from the hospital on Monday.
