He is one of the few B-town A-listers to share his thoughts about the brutal police action against the students, who protested and demanded the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
While tinsel town celebrities including Sonakshi Sinha, Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah been vocal about the CJP protest, A-listers like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan refrained from reacting on social media. Salman expressed support for students amid the ongoing protests over the NEET exam leak. The Sikandar star shared a long post on social media, expressing his concern over the violence during the protest. He described the CJP student protest as a peaceful movement, urging that the issue should not be hijacked politically. The Race 3 actor reacted to the NEET paper leak, calling it a serious issue and hoped the BJP-led government would take a proper decision. "It was such a peaceful movement; I feel so sad that it had to take a violent turn. My heart goes out to the students and their families who were hurt. Paper leak is a very serious issue, and I am glad to know and see that the kids of our country have come together for a better educational system, and their parents supported them (sic)," Salman Khan wrote on Instagram. The Bigg Boss host is saddened by the violence during the protest and Delhi Police's action against the students. He said that the government should initiate a stronger education system, as he praised the students' commitment to education. "I truly appreciate the stand they have taken, showing dedication, sincerity, and keenness to study hard n make their future and a greater, educated India. This andolan, this protest, is the right way to go abt it, n the students have done this peacefully. So courageous and brave. Driven and motivated towards education, this generation will make India proud (sic)," Salman added as he took a stand for the students, appreciating their dedication. "This issue is between the students and the educational system, it should not be hijacked politically, the credit should only go to the students of our country, and I am sure the government will also give them all the support n make it a stronger educational system. It's a win-win situation. Hoping n praying for a positive decision.
